Bohnett Fellowship Program

The David Bohnett Fellowship Program offers hands-on working experience in the Office of the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles to exceptionally promising graduate students in the School of Public Affairs. This competitive program selects outstanding students to collaborate with UCLA faculty and senior executives in the Mayor’s office, transforming scholarship into real-world experience at the heart of one of the most diverse cities in the world.

Fellows receive full fee remission (non-residents receive funds equal to the resident amount which are applied toward non-resident fees) for the academic year; as well as a full-time paid summer position in the Mayor’s office. Fellowships begin the last week of June and continue through the summer, becoming a part-time paid position to the end of the academic year. Fellows work under the direct supervision of a senior member of the mayoral staff with guidance from a participating faculty member.
